I thought I would use today's sketch challenge on SCS for my mom's Birthday card. It's not til the middle of March but she lives far away so I need to mail it. :(
The picture is a bit bright but I have no time to adjust as I am off to volunteer at school in a few. Oh, and ya, I know that the sentiment is a bit crooked, but, hey, it's for my mom lol
Supplies are SU! unless otherwise noted
Stamps: Warmest Regards, Pretty Amazing
Paper: bashful blue, chocolate chip, pink pirrouette, very vanilla
Ink: bashful blue, pink pirrouette, close to cocoa, chocolate chip
Accessories: chocolate chip satin ribbon, border punch (Martha), butterfly punch (Martha), brads (Basic Grey), ticket punch, cross stitching thread, mini rhinestones (Dollarama)
The pink layer was stamped with the branch from Pretty Amazing using pink ink. The vanilla layer was sponged with cocoa ink. All the other layers were sponged with their matching ink.
I tediously stitched the zig zags in the top layer (ouchie on my fingies). The punched butterflies were sponged with cocoa ink and then the rhinestones were glued on using the quikie glue pen (fave glue pen!). That's basically it. Have a great day!
Andria
