Lovin' the Joe!

I just love any stamps with coffee on them!  I am a coffeeholic so I collect these stamps!  My fave coffee stamps are the set from My Favorite Things, Hot Stuff.  Here is a card I whipped up for a friend as she shares my coffee addiction and she needs a thankyou card for her great friendship!

Supplies are SU unless otherwise noted.

Stamps: Hot Stuff (MFT)

Paper: chocolate chip, afternoon tea designer paper, soft sky, close to cocoa, whisper white

Ink: black stazon, chocolate chip, markers with aquapainter (watercoloring)

Accessories: slit punch, white signo gel pen, rhinestone stickers (K & Co), chocolate tafetta ribbon

First, I stamped the lady in stazon and watercolored using the markers and painter.  Then I cut out the image leaving the plumes of steam.  I matted on chocolate and then on sky and more chocolate....mmm, I want chocolate!  I stamped the sentiment with chocolate ink and then added the ribbon.  The card base is chocolate and then a layer of tea paper.  Then I added the chocolate chip strip (scalloped using the slit punch).  I used the signo pen to add some dots to the scallops.  Then I added the cocoa layer with the stickers.  Last, I slapped the main image layers on top.

Took a break

Life has been so crazy around here lately.  Kids are back in school...I have a bad case of insomnia so I am so tired all day and we are packing to move.  So it is hectic, to say the least.  I will share some cards I made today and then it is off to bed!

More goodies!

My day was brightened when the mail came and my new shtuff from My Favorite Things arrived.  I have never ordered from them before but always loved the style.  I was so excited to play last night.  Here are the things I ordered.  Note: I blocked out the sentiments that might be offensive to you that have your kids hanging around the computer or if you might be offended.  My daughters saw me taking the sets out and I forgot that I ordered Twisted Sentiments and my oldest was trying to figure out what a stampgasm was!  Oops....hence the blocked image! :)  I ordered copic glitter spica pens and 4 stamp sets!  Can't wait to use these all!

 

So, here is my first card.  I was wanting to make a quick card, but this one took an hour!

Supplies (SU unless otherwise noted)

Stamps: Time for the Bubbly (MFT)

Paper: soft sky, pretty in pink, whisper white, berry bliss designer aper

Ink: jet black stazon, chocolate chip

Accessories: pink polka dot ribbon (my copic pens were wrapped in it!), pretty in pink eyelets, white signo gel pen, clear and silver copic spica pen, pretty in pink..chocolate chip..blush blossom markers, cutter kit's distressor tool

The main image was stamped on ww with stazon ink.  Then I stamped the image again on berry bliss and cut out the "wall" to glue on the ww image.  I then colored in the rest of the image using said markers.  The bubbles were colored with the clear spica pen.  I matted on pretty in pink (distressed) and chocolate chip (doodled).  The ribbon was attached to soft sky card base.  I then added the matted image and the eyelets and sentiment stamped in chocolate chip.  There ya go!

Note: For those that have been following my son's illness, he just got his IV out.  He did have quite a high fever last night and still has diarreah, but it looks like we are on the mend.  Thanks for all the positive thoughts and prayers!  They were greatly appreciated!
