I got it fixed!!!

My camera that is!  I am so excited!  I thought I was going to have to go and spend another $500 on a camera.  This one was almost that, so I was heartbroken when it went on the fritz!  Obviously I would have posted more often, but my posts would have been really boring without the pics of my creations! :)

Here is a card I made a few weeks ago.  I absolutely love the patterned paper on this card, and am going to order another couple packs, just in case it retires!

I also really love the build a brads that SU sells!  I love the fact that you can have everything complimenting eachother....woot woot to SU!

Stamps: Embrace Life, Stitched exotics

Paper:  soft sky, purely pomegranete, wild wasabi, whisper white, bali breeze designer paper

Ink: purely pomegranete, wild wasabi, black stazon

Accessories: pink daubles, build a brad, soft sky double stitched ribbon

First I stamped the flowers in wasabi and pomegranete and then stamped the sentiment in stazon.  I then matted on wasabi and pom. papers.  The designer layer was matted with wasabi and then ontto the card base it went.  I added the ribbon and then the main image layer.  Next I used the build a brad and bali paper and added the daubles.  Off to enjoy this 35 degree day in the pool.  See ya back here tomorrow....those of you that still come!

More issues

Well, now my camera is working, but I can't get the memory card to read in my laptop.  I am calling Dell to deal with it and then I will post pics  with all my new creations.  Do I hear an echo??? lol :)

P.S.  Thanks for all your wonderful words.  They made me feel better.  On July 3rd it will be a year, so that will be a tough day, but for now I am feeling better!  So thanks! :)

A bit bummed

I am still waiting on my camera to stop being so buggered...but I do have some pics to share in tomorrow morning's post of some stuff.  But for tonight, I am going to post about my late uncle Paul. 

It is going to be a year on July 3rd since my uncle was brutally murdered.  So far there has been no arrests.  That is so frustrating!!  My uncle was more like a dad than an uncle.  He was always there for me.  He absolutely ADORED my kids and spent genuine time with them when we visited.  Why would someone take someone as good as him away from his loved ones?  How selfish!  It is weird, almost a year later it is finally sinking in that he will never phone me like he did, just to say hi...he will never take us fishing in the boat up north again.  He will never tell a LAME joke to me again, and I will no longer have to fake laugh, pretending it is funny just to make him feel good!  He was very gifted in stone masonry.  He did such an awesome job.  One thing I joked to him about all the time is the fact that he never finished anything he started around the house though...here is a pic to prove it!  This fireplace was never finished by him in the yard, and sadly never will be! (sorry the pic is so bad...I took a quick pic as it was really hard at the time to even look at it)

I look at this blog as a stamping "therapy", so naturally tonight, I wanted to do a therapy post and dedicate at least a little piece of the WWW to Uncle Paul....I miss you!

This song is a total nail on the head to how I am feeling!  And definately this song, too!

Frustrated

My husband went on a four day fishing trip this morning.  The problem?  He took the camera!  Grrr!  I is bad enough I can't take pictures of my stuff for you all, but what is worse is my girls are in a track meet tomorrow and no camera for me!  I will see what I can do here, maybe borrow a camera.  I have been away from blogging for so long that I was so excited to post again, and now I can't!

Thanks, also for your nice comments and emails!  You make me feel so good that there are actually people out there that I inspire!

I am back!!

Anyone still hang out here?  I hope that I didn't lose you all in my move.  I thought I coulda been back last week but that was a joke!  I had so much stuff going on that it was impossible to create and post anything!

Anyways, I apologize in advance for the pics in this post.  My fave ever camera kicked the bucket in the move...let's just say smashy, smashy!  Right now I am using my hubby's camera and don't have a sniff how to use it....besides to snap a pic.

I made this clipboard at a 12 hour crop day I went to this weekend.  I made this and a card as I was just happy to sit and not create much after moving.

I used the Bali Breeze designer paper for this and matching papers.  I just bought the build a brad pack and I used it here.  I love these little guys!!  I also used rubons to add a bit more.

Anyways, I am putting those earth elements on the back and hanging this on my fridge.  I will rotate pictures whenever I feel the desire. 

Anyways, gotta run and do some more unpacking.
